Import a file or enter the recipient addresses one at a time  

Print on envelopes or address labels using your desired format, which will include a USPS Informed Visibility mail tracking barcode above the address. 

Place regular postage on your envelopes and mail them

Apply regular postage to your envelopes using USPS stamps, online postage providers like stamps.com or with a postage meter.  Place the envelopes in your mailbox for your postal carrier to pickup, drop them in a USPS drop box, or bring them to your local post office.  Your mail will reach the recipient in 3 business days since it is being sent via First Class mail.

Shopify mail tracking

The USPS first announced that first class mail tracking would be available using scan data from intelligent mail barcodes back in 2006. At that time, the program was called IMB Tracing. In 2018, the USPS upgraded the platform that captures the scan information and changed the name to Informed Visibility Mail Tracking. Over the years, the accuracy of the mail tracking has increased significantly due to enhancements in technology. It can now track First Class letter mail, flat mail, and even bubble mail envelopes as long as the mailpiece meets USPS specs for machineable mail.
